Developed and evolved the visual brand identity for ICSC’s new event series, ICSC RETAIL FORWARD, transforming the initiative from a single-event concept into a cohesive multi-event brand system spanning two years. Created a scalable identity framework in which each event featured a distinct signature color paired with one of ICSC’s core brand blues — Admiral or Azure — allowing for visual differentiation while maintaining consistency across the growing event series.

Served as the lead designer and primary point of contact for all branding and creative direction related to the event series, taking ownership of the full design process from concept development through production. Represented the design team in cross-functional meetings, managed brand-related discussions and creative problem-solving, and provided regular project updates to leadership while independently leading the visual execution of the series.

Led the art direction and production of a wide range of marketing collateral, including social media campaigns, email banners, homepage hero graphics, Ceros interactive pages, and the Site Shopper printed retailer booklet. Established a standardized photographic treatment featuring three diverse personas per event, with intentional representation across ethnicity, age, and gender. Personas were converted to grayscale and isolated from backgrounds to create a clean, modern, and recognizable visual system that unified the brand experience across digital, print, and environmental touchpoints.

As the event series expanded, onboarded and trained two additional designers to support production needs, educating them on brand standards, workflows, and deliverable requirements. Regularly coordinated updates across the creative team to ensure consistency, efficiency, and alignment throughout the evolution of the ICSC RETAIL FORWARD series.

Three diverse personas are selected for each ICSC RETAIL FORWARD event, alternating between two women and one man, and two men and one woman. Diversity considerations include ethnicity, age, and gender.

EVENT COLORS

Color photographs of each persona are converted to grayscale, with the individual isolated from the background to create a clean, consistent visual treatment.
